A baseball fan got to meet his hero again, but this time as a member of the same major league organization. In 2005, when Devin Smeltzer was 9, he had other things on his mind. He was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer. He endured years of chemotherapy and radiation, but he jumped at the opportunity to play in little league when the doctor gave him the go ahead. His determination paid off.
Capri is an island located on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in Italy. It is an incredibly touristy place and heavily visited by day trippers from Naples and Sorrento. It's almost ridiculous how crowded some parts of the island are getting during the day. However, with some effort and hiking you can manage to escape the crowds every once in a while. The island itself is rather picturesque and beautiful.
Born colorblind, William lived his whole life in back and white. For his 66th birthday, his family decided to pitch in together to buy Enchroma glasses that have color correcting lenses that help the colorblind see color. This video is his expression to opening his gift and witnessing color for the first time.
