Tyler and Haylee have been dating for seven years. During those years, Tyler became very close with Haylee’s father, Greg. He always envisioned asking Greg for his blessing when the time came for Tyler to propose to Haylee. Unfortunately, Tyler never got the chance.
Because Greg passed away a year ago, Tyler, an avid lifestyle vlogger, found a creative way to incorporate the most important man in Haylee’s life into the milestone proposal. Tyler created a video that shows him talking with Haylee’s brother and sister about his upcoming proposal, as well as their beloved and celebrated father.
Tyler used the video to make an important promise to Greg: that he will always love and take care of his daughter. He tells Greg:
I’m going to marry your daughter. I always thought of how I was going to ask for your blessing one day, and now that day is here. I wish you were here to hand your baby girl off to me, so I promise to be more than you would ever want me to be. I want to be the man who shares her love and patience and gives her everything she needs. I’ll tell her exactly how beautiful she is, and I’ll show her how to believe in herself. I will take care of her.
I want to give her experiences people only dream of, and love her unconditionally, because I wouldn’t want to see the world with anybody else
