Japanese Guilty Gear Xrd player Woshige taught the world a valuable life lesson about premature celebrations at EVO 2015, the world’s biggest fighting game tournament. Playing a best-of-three match with Ogawa in the semifinals of the winners’ bracket, Woshige was perilously close to losing but staged an epic comeback to stay alive in the match.
There was just one problem: the match wasn’t over. Woshige thought he had won and jumped out of his seat to celebrate, there was still a decisive round left to play. Ogawa simply beat up Woshige’s character while he scrambled to get back to his seat and took the victory.
